Spring has Sprung

Back in Buenos Aires

I arrived back in Buenos Aires 8.30am Thursday morning. It was warm, sunny and great to be back in this city. BsAs is a phenomenal city, and it will be a hard place to leave in a few weeks time, when I go back to Australia. Im alreay planning a return trip in 2007!!

Lake Titicaca, Bolivia

I'm back in cusco, Peru after three days on Isla del Sol (Island of the Sun) on Lake Titcaca, Bolivia. The lake is the highest navigable lake in the world, and is 3800m above sea level. Im aclimatised to the altitude after more than a week at the altitude of Cusco (3500m). The islands inhabitants are indian and live traditionally, using donkeys and uman power to carry water, and indeed everything up the 150 hill to their villages. Isla del Sol is thought to be the birthplace of the Inca empire.
Ah, and the beer is great, but very fizzy at this altitude.
